DIY lip scrub for winter

Winter and dry and flaky lips are here. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I can definitely feel the seasons changing on my lips. This is why I’ve created a quick lip care guide, including an easy lip scrub for winter.
How to care for your lips during the winter
Cold, windy weather and central heating draw moisture out of the skin and lips and can leave them feeling uncomfortable. If you want to maintain soft moisturised lips throughout the year, you can make a difference just with a few simple tricks. We at Jenny Nordic love and appreciate efficient and simple skincare more than anything.
- Nourish from within. This probably goes without saying, but drinking plenty of water and herbal teas and including healthy fats in your diet can do wonders for your complexion, including your lips.
- Use lip balm. Jenny Nordic The Balm is ideal for dry lips. It contains organic oils and butters such as Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Castor Oil and Organic Raw Cocoa Butter that will together moisturise, soothe and protect the lips.
- To further nourish your lips you can use a lip scrub to smooth the lips and gently exfoliate away the dry, dead skin cells. In our DIY lip scrub, we use ingredients that you most likely already have at home or that can be found easily in your grocery store. Use the scrub once a week to maintain soft cared-for lips and always finish the treatment with The Balm.
