Arctic Blackcurrant

Jenny Nordic Skincare. Arctic blackcurrant

Arctic blackcurrant is very potent antioxidant that protects the skin from free radicals and premature aging. Our blackcurrant oil is C02 extracted to harness all the goodness and comes from the pure Nordic Lapland. Blackcurrant seed oil contains gamma-linolenic acid (omega-6 fatty acid) and stearidonic acid (omega-3 fatty acid) in a 4:1 ratio. It is one of the rare plant oils containing omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids in an optimal ratio. Find Arctic Blackcurrant in our Glow & Revitalize Oil Serum.

Arctic Cranberry

Jenny Nordic Skincare. Arctic cranberry

We use supercritical CO2 extract of Arctic cranberry seeds. Arctic cranberries are rich in tocotrienols which the skin needs for protection against free radicals.  Cranberry seed extract provides essential fatty acids and tocotrienols for nourishing, hydrating, and protecting skin. Find Arctic Cranberry in our Glow & Revitalize Oil Serum.

Arctic Lingonberry Extract

Jenny Nordic Skincare Lingonberry

Lingonberry is one of the Nordic super berries we love. It is rich in flavonoids, phenolic compounds and antioxidants. The high level of antioxidants helps to protect the skin from free radicals and environmental stressors that can cause signs of premature ageing. Lingonberries also contain proanthocyanidins that have a potent skin-calming ability. Find Lingonberry Extract in our Rehydrate & Balance Beauty Essence.

Camellia Seed Oil

Jenny Nordic Skincare. Camellia seed oil.

Camellia seed oil is famous for its antiaging properties and known as Geisha's secret. It's rich in antioxidants, polyphenols and vitamins such as A, D, E and K. It's high in Omega-9 and gives a supple and radiant glow and soft skin. Find Camellia Seed Oil in our Glow & Revitalize Oil Serum and Smooth Oil to Milk Cleanser.

Fermented Nordic Oat Kernel Extract

Our hero ingredient fermented oat kernel extract contains both prebiotics, probiotics and postbiotics that together work to hydrate and balance the skin.

Prebiotic ectoin promotes hydration by maintaining the correct water balance in the skin meaning the skin appears smooth and soft preventing dehydration of the epidermis.

Probiotic lactobacillus bacteria help kill harmful bacteria and restore balance to the skin’s microflora. It is able to soothe and calm any inflammations without causing any dryness or stripping it of any vital oil it needs to remain healthy and balanced.

Our fermented oats also contain AHAs, mainly lactic acid that can exfoliate the uppermost layer of the skin. AHAs have the ability to hydrate the skin, improve the skin barrier function and enhance the production of ceramides by keratinocytes.

Amino acids protect skin from free-radical damage and help reduce signs of premature ageing.

The fermentation process of oats also produces peptides that help the skin’s cellular renewal. Find Fermented Nordic Oat Kernel Extract in our Rehydrate & Balance Beauty Essence.

Niacinamide

Niacinamide or vitamin B3 is a skincare multitasker. It’s one of the most powerful anti-inflammatories in skincare. It helps regulate sebum production, improves skin’s barrier function and prevents transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and can support new cell growth. In our formulations, we use high-grade niacinamide that is less likely to cause any irritation. Find Niacinamide in our Rehydrate & Balance Beauty Essence.

Nordic Oat Lipid

Jenny Nordic Skincare. Oats. Oat oil.

Jenny Nordic uses oat lipid extracted from the kernel of the oat. It helps lock in moisture levels by forming a physical barrier to epidermal water loss, preventing further drying. Oat lipid is rich in vitamin E and Linoleic acid, and can help maintain the skin's natural balance by replacing lipids lost during everyday life. It contains ceramides and thanks to the rich polar lipid content, Nordic oat lipid acts as an occlusive and a humectant at the same time, absorbing and retaining moisture in the skin. Find Nordic Oat Lipid in our Glow & Revitalize Oil Serum and Smooth Oil to Milk Cleanser.

Rosehip Seed Oil

Jenny Nordic Skincare. Rose bush. Rosehips.

Rosehip seed oil contains naturally occurring Retinoic Acid (Vitamin A) and is ideal for all skin types. It has very light skin feel and absorbs into the skin rapidly. It carries a balanced ratio of Omegas 3, 6 and 9 and is rich in vitamin E making it a perfect oil for all the skin types, and especially for aging and acne-prone skin. Vitamin E promotes healthy skin and provides anti-oxidant effects. Find Rosehip Seed Oil in our Glow & Revitalize Oil Serum.

Squalane

Jenny Nordic Skincare. Squalane oil.

Squalane, of the squalene family, is found naturally in the skin. The squalane Jenny Nordic uses is a by-product of olive oil pressing.

Squalane is very lightweight and does not weight the skin down. The natural composition matching the skins sebum so closely means that is penetrates deep into the skin. A natural oil balancing ingredient, Squalane brings relief to dry skin and calms the overproduction of oil in oily skin. Helps soften the skin and offers antioxidant protection. Squalane also prevents moisture loss. Find Squalane in our Glow & Revitalize Oil Serum.
